Healings & Readings - We're all different!

Not all healers heal in the same way - not all readers give readings the same way!
Though it may seem simple and dreamy on the surface, giving healings/readings are actually very intricate and complex practices.
Every healer has their own unique approach to healing. Although terms like "Reiki", "Angelic Healing", "Energy Healing" or "Spiritual Healing" are generally recognised, the way each practitioner conducts a session will differ considerably, from the arrangement of the space and acoustics to the use of energetic tools, and how the session is structured.
I know, it can all get complicated and confusing!
In addition to this, not all healers incorporate readings into their sessions, and not all readers will include a healing.
Some healers incorporate readings and talk during the healing, whereas others may offer insight at the beginning or towards the end of a session. A healer might also offer a variety of healing styles and readings as well therefore each session with the same healer can vary too!
For clients, many practitioners provide a range of services, so it can be really helpful to research their specific profile and offerings.
For healers, managing client expectations is equally important so that they can tailor their approache(s) to the persons needs based on their training, expertise and life experience.
The foundational energetic relationship between healer and client is a vital component that can influence the healing process and session outcome(s).
Not all readers "read" in the same way and their communication styles will vary, some readers are gentle and nurturing while others are direct and blunt.
Psychic/Medium/Soul readers utilise various methods to connect with information, and their styles can differ widely:
*Clairvoyance: Seeing visions or images related to the client.
*Clairaudience: Hearing messages or sounds.
*Clairsentience:Â Feeling sensations or emotions that provide insights.
*Empathic or Intuitive Reading:Â Using gut feelings, impressions, or emotional sensitivity to interpret messages.
Different approaches to reading include:
*Direct and Specific:Â Providing clear, straightforward guidance or answers.
*Symbolic and Intuitive:Â Interpreting symbols, dreams, or metaphors that emerge during the session.
*Spirit-Guided: Relying on spirit guides, angels, or ancestors to relay messages.
*Growth-Focused:Â Offering advice aimed at personal development rather than predicting exact future events.
So, don’t hesitate to ask questions about what to expect from a session.
Questions for Clients to Consider:
*What kind of session am I seeking? (Healing, reading, or both?)
*What do I expect the session to involve / look like / feel like?
*Would I prefer a healing session without conversation, or am I comfortable with someone talking?
*What specific issues or areas do I need help with?
*How am I feeling right now, and how would I like to feel afterward?
*What is my main goal for this session? (Physical, mental, emotional, spiritual?)
*Am I looking for a one-time session or multiple sessions for ongoing support?
*How comfortable to I feel after communicating with the practitioner?
Questions to Ask a Practitioner:
*Does a healing session include a reading? If so, when during the session does the reading occur ?
*What would a typical session look like?
*What types of readings do you offer, and how do they differ?
*What kinds of healing modalities do you offer, and how are they different?
*Is it possible to have a healing without a reading?
*Is it possible to have a reading without a healing?
*What is your experience and training in healing/readings?
*How have you helped other clients with similar needs?
Questions a Practitioner Might Ask Themselves:
*What type of reading or healing would best suit this client’s needs?
*How can I most effectively support and benefit the client?
*Do I feel energetically aligned with this client?
*Can I meet the client’s expectations and needs with my skill set?
*Am I practicing within my scope and scope of expertise?
*What's the opportunity for learning and growth - for myself and the client?
In essence:
Both healing and readings are deeply personal and influenced by a practitioners skill set, belief systems, cultural background, life experience and intuition.
Keeping open communication fosters a mutual beneficial connection as it helps the healer/reader to assess if their skills are suited to the clients situation, and for the client to feel into whether the healer is the right person for them, their comfort and goals.
