1. Cultivate a Calm and Focused Mind
Find a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed. Relax your eyes and gaze softly—either directly at a person or object, or into a mirror.
Softening your gaze helps your peripheral vision become more receptive to subtle energy fields. It can also help to stand behind a plain background, such as a white wall or a dark coloured wall without pictures, or, try turning out the light!
Turning out the light can be a little unnerving at first so let the fear talk and it will most likely then subside, especially if you have a fellow aura-seer with you! Your eyes will naturally adjust.
2. Practice Aura Visualisation Techniques
Soft Focus Method: Gaze gently at the subject or yourself, allowing your eyes to relax without staring intently. As your eyes soften, you may begin to perceive a faint glow or aura around the person or yourself.
Distance Method: Stand a few feet away from a clear, light-coloured background (like a white wall). Focus on the area around your head or hands, and observe any subtle colours or shimmer.
3. Use Your Intuition and Inner Sight
Your aura may appear as a faint shimmer, a glow, or colors that resonate with your feelings. Trust your first impressions—your intuition is a powerful tool for interpreting the colours you see.
4. Practice Regularly
Like any skill, perceiving auras improves with consistent practice. Dedicate a few minutes daily to focus on seeing your aura or others’. Over time, your sensitivity and accuracy will deepen.
5. Use Crystals and Lighting to Enhance Perception
Some crystals, like clear quartz or selenite, can amplify your intuitive sight. Also, practicing in natural light or with soft, diffused lighting can help reveal subtle hues more clearly.
6. Keep a Journal of Your Observations
Record what you see—colours, shapes, and your intuitive impressions. Over time, patterns will emerge, helping you refine your ability to interpret aura colors and their meanings!
